Sea Treasures
Sea Treasures
We woke in early morning
To see the glowing sun
Golden and round
Like a ball of fire
A burning candle light
Rising over deep blue waters
Holding hands
As far as the eye could see, no land
Looking out over the sea
Just you and me
Waters frizzling and sizzling
Like foamy splashing soda pop
Way up above huge cushions of clouds
Like soft pure white fluffy, puffy pillows
Drifting on boundless blue velvet skies
If I could have bottled that lovely moment
I'd tossed it out to sea
Never knowing where it would end up
There is no measure
To life's simple pleasures
Sea treasures
White sands
Shore excursions, lover's paradise
Looking out over the sea
Just you and me
ŠJune 7, 2010 Janet Griffin
One of many beautiful moments my husband and I enjoyed on our Caribbean cruise.
