When Tested
Do not be fooled by what you see,
Things where you look just might not be;
Every good present or nice gift,
Might not be anything to lift.
Things made by the Father and Son,
From above made the moon and the sun;
Will never change like the shadows,
Or directions that the wind blows.
God decided to give us life,
And for testing us in the strife;
Within the Word of truth to make,
But never going to forsake.
We are His crucial creation,
Made for the new world foundation;
So be quick to hear slow to speak,
Not to anger from truth you seek.
Get rid of shameful behavior,
If you wish to see your Savior;
All the wicked things that you do,
Will prevent from entering through.
Humbly take what God has given,
And go through the Gates of Heaven;
All because that this Word can save,
An eternity in the grave.
The person who does as he hears,
Always does so because he fears;
A doer of what is decreed,
This man shall be blessed in his deed.
