"Death, and Eternity"
"Death, and Eternity"
Oh death, where is thy sting?
You thought, you brought me to an end . . .
It's unto my Lord, praises I sing
My Savior, and faithful friend
Did you think you could stop the One
That gave His life, for me?
The Trinity . . . Father, Spirit, and Son
Created "Heaven" for the righteous to see
The gift of life, is but a test . . .
Separating the wheat from the chaff
Removing the worst from the best
As when Aaron, cast down his staff
Death is a dark place, void and cold
A "nothingness" for evermore
A dwelling place for the bad and bold
The thought of it, chills . . .To the core
Oh yes, death . . . Where is thy sting?
You can't hold me in your grasp
Nor, interupt Eternity, with a mourning ring
You can not sting, like the Asp!
For, it is Eternity, where I will abide
Forever, and forever more
With The Lord Jesus, at my side
Reveling, in His . . . Celestial Shore!
