Grieving Hopelessly
Do not be ignorant,
About those who have died;
Things may be different,
Changes not if you cried.
Knowing what we believe,
Not like some with no hope;
We do not want to grieve,
Although the loss we cope.
We believe Jesus died,
And then came back alive;
We know no one had lied,
From the grave to survive.
God will bring from the dead,
Those who truly believe;
So they will see life instead,
Of eternal night receive.
They will come back living,
This is what the Lord taught;
His grace in forgiving,
Through the confession sought.
We who are still alive,
Will not be going first;
But the dead will arrive,
In Heaven to cure thirst.
They go at trumpet call,
As the Lord will command;
No fear that you will fall,
Holding you by His hand.
Then as called from the crowds,
The living will be brought;
Up and into the clouds,
For their reward they sought.
