Mean streak

Meaner than mean, the way we treat each other.
Try to make it work, you are like no other.
The poison pours out of our mouth.
Words spoken spews out like toxic waste.
If You don't understand, well have a taste.
Can't take it back the poison spilled out.
Words said to hurt, it's how we are.
Damage is done,  gone too far.
Leave it alone let it be.
No one punishes me like me.
Broken are all the golden rules.
Reluctant but we go back only as fools.
Voices are ringing in my ears.
We can never hold back the tears.
The lies are only true to you.
Left to get away what more could I do?
Meaner than mean are the people closest to us.
Harder now to rebuilt the trust
