Contenders for the Faith
Use your most holy faith to grow,
And you will see the blessing flow;
Wisdom and knowledge comes your way,
As long as you trust and obey.
You do not need to be afraid,
Letting the Holy Spirit aid;
While you are praying for peace,
And all hostilities to cease.
Remain within the love of God,
Worship giving honor and laud;
Look for mercy from our Lord,
While living in one accord.
Although now you have so much strife,
Jesus Christ gave eternal life;
So in your future there is hope,
As you struggle having to cope.
Show mercy to those who have doubt,
As a Christian being about;
Help them through for to understand,
What the Lord has already planned.
Show them of the life that they dwell,
Is a direct pathway to hell;
And how it is stained with the sin,
Will cause fire to burn within.
God can guard you never to fall,
Anytime in prayer when you call;
So you can be full of pleasure,
When in Heaven with your treasure.
