The signs were all there but you ignored them because you were blinded by love,
Not listening to you friends when they told you to give him up.
You thought you could make it work so you forgave him the first time,
He hit you again and again,Yeah I guess love is blind.
No man should hit a woman or call her out of her name,
If you have to abuse a woman then you are just lame,
Love is beautiful,love is happiness,love is feeling free.
Not hurting the one you love and especially not me.
I understand that you have problems and so do we all.
That does not justify things at all.
The warning signs were there and I loved you much to much to see.
I never believed that you would ever hurt me!
If I could warn anyone from the grave,
Verbal,physical,mental its all abuse,
I thought he would change and things would get better and he would love me all along.
After getting hit in the head so many times I guess I was wrong,
Going to work with black eyes,
Staying up at night to cry,hiding from family and friends, I chose to stay with him.
If I could tell you never ignore the signs.
Never believe those "I'm sorry lines."
If he hit you once he will do it again.
Take it from your graveyard friend.
Get out or we will meet again.
