  October's Child

NOTHING EVER FITS

NOTHING EVER FITS

If you look closely, you'll find me here, quietly waiting
Peering thru time delayed seasons and porcelain smiles
I've numbered the years, the hours, and the longest miles
Looking for things,  praying for things and always,  anticipating

_-_Waiting
                          _-_

Things in my life are scattered in such varied directions
Look carefully into my words as you unveil each one
Some, were not birthed within the womb of the sun
And many wear dust jackets made of mislaid affections

_-_Words
                          _-_

All I ask my friend is for you to peer inside me, if time permits
From life's ups ‘n' downs, my branches are bent, like most
Ignore the worn spots; I've tried to patch the faceless ghosts
It's the hour of night where mountains lament, and nothing fits

_-_Nothing, ever fits
                          _-_
