We may disagree on doctrine…
Our differences are known.
I can’t believe the way you do…
I have beliefs all of my own.
But this shouldn’t come between us…
Cause us to separate…
And it won’t if we subscribe to love
And stay away from hate.
You may not see things the way I do…
Our insights may not engage.
But one factor will determine
If we’re both on the same page…
That is… How do you view Jesus?
Do you see Him as I do?
Recognize Him as the Son of God
Who shed His blood for you?
Do you believe His virgin birth?
His death and resurrection?
That in Him and Him alone
Can mankind gain perfection?
Have you knelt in true repentance
At the Cross of Calvary?
Believe that He’s the Only Way
To life eternally?
Your answer will determine
Our compatibility.
Because if we agree on Christ
We can agree to disagree
On theological concepts
Of a less important part
As long as Christ and Calvary
Take first place in our heart..
Because a core belief in Jesus
Puts us in one accord.
Our central concept of the Christ
Make us brothers in the Lord.
So how do you see Jesus?
Do you see Him as I do?
As King of Kings and Lord of Lords…
