BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE I walked a mile with laughter She chatted all the way But I remember very little Of all she had to say . I walked a mile with sorrow Never a word said she But O the things I learnt of her When sorrow walked with me . How strange it seems - In this paradox of loss and gain - That we learn our greatest lessons From our deepest pain . That through the very things we suffer - Can come blessings in disguise And we can learn to love our weaknesses - When seen through heaven's eyes . The greatest men and women - Who have walked this fallen earth Are those who give their life blood - And deny themselves . Or those who give their time and energy - To relieve the sick and poor And point people to the SAVIOUR And to open heaven's door . So next time the sky seems leaden - And the rain begins to pour Remember all the blessings That will follow - that's for sure. Don't dwell upon the negatives - But lift your eyes instead And by faith - your'll see the harvest And the millions who'll be fed . BE ENCOURAGED AND REMEMBER THAT THE SUN IS ALWAYS SHINING ABOVE THE DARK CLOUDS. GOD BLESS YOU AMAZINGLY ...TODAY. with love from S.C.Mitchell Vote for this poem
