TRAVELLING

Where are you going, don’t know, just going.
Travelling on looking for work, you and the
rest of the world. Not a lot out there now, in
fact, it seems the whole worlds on the move.
hard times, bad times, this is the worst of times.

Seen a lot in my years in the building game, but
now, well the whole blooming worlds on the move.
Honest days work, for an honest days pay, won’t
get in the western world. Have to be travelling on.
Goona go east, used to be it was, go west young man.
Not now, it’s a hard travelling times we live in.
We’re all itinerants, mobile communities.

Have to laugh at the ignorance of the phrase
look at those bloody people taking our jobs.
Selling big issue, looking for handouts, nope you’re
missing the point they’re just people, travelling on.
Doing an honest days work, wherever they can.
Put the pointing finger away. There’s three looking back.
have to remember we’re all the same, travelling on, looking work.
