OUR OWN OLYMPICS

OUR OWN OLYMPICS

We all have our very own Olympic games

Swimming

There are situations we find ourselves in
And so we have to either sink or swim

Shot-put

If there is something that a person won`t rescind
We have to be brave and throw caution to the wind.

Sailing

Sometimes we have to be thick skinned
To help us to sail close to the wind.

Marathon

When it takes a long time and resilience gone
Some tasks feel like they were a marathon.

Running

When with hard criticisms we have been met
Then we often run the gauntlet.

High Jump

When the kids act like a gump
They find they are for the high jump.

Hurdles

When things go wrong our blood curdles
We find ourselves up against the hurdles.

Boxing

It takes more than brawn we must endeavour
To use our intelligence we have to box clever.

Riding

We have to appear to conform
If we are to ride the storm.

Shooting

One thing we shouldn`t do is scoff
For then we tend to shoot our mouths off.

Tug Of War

When a dispute arises there`s trouble for sure
For we end up playing a tug of war.

Fencing

In an argument sometimes our only defence
Is to do nothing but simply sit on the fence.

Wrestling

When there are conflicting notions
We often wrestle with our emotions.

We don`t Have to wait 4 years I daresay
For our Olympics happen nearly every day.
