Poetic Verses
A Sudden Change
From the surrounding houses the air was filled with an aroma
This, titillated those senses as it herald in the breakfast hour
A time to recharge and replenish after a night's sleep
Also to prepare for the inconvenience of a traffic line that will creep
The children on holiday too made a sight of such delight
At they laughed and happily played in the morning light
Almost drowned by the sound of those lawn mowers that morn
As some people take that opportunity to manicure that lawn
How that setting depicted a day that was going to wonderfully
But what happened next occurred so quickly and unexpected
The day become dark and looked so dreary and quite quickly
Many thought that they were witnessing something quite miraculously
People cried out and remain rooted to the very spot
Some even asked for forgiveness and were accepting their lot
The flashing lightning, the roaring thunder add to the bewilderment
A man shouted out my friends this is judgment day, you must repent
There was no one there who could figure out the reason
That could have been the cause of such a phenomenon
But it was quite evident this created great fear in many there
As they got no warning so there was no time to prepare
Now take this occurrence and transpose it onto our lives
Most of the time our faces can be seen with those happy smiles
But we never for one moment take that time to ever prepare
For any changes that that shadows our happiness everywhere
