 Near Fossil State
It becomes you. with each passing year
Closer to death this too I fear
Will be what is when your time comes
A time once yours when said and done

Reflect on past and present things
Some hard knocked but too blessings
Before and after, maybe happily
When laid to rest eternally

Life is what you failed to grasp
When the brass ring came to and passed
Passed you by who feared to take
A chance to grasp and too partake

Whats left of you mature not old
Has yet to be given maybe one stole
For years did pound their stake on you
Survived much worse walking on through

Extinct not yet but like one has
You knew of them and too their past
Their walk upon this earth took turns
Marching backwards with years they burned

Be not like those that roamed aimless
Searching for the things worthless
For life is short and to the point
You come of age as too your joints

Near Fossil State.. Oh! the humanity
