Poetic Verses
Predator or Prey
In some aspects of life there is inside that great fear
Will I someday become a predator of someone's prey?
There are people who go at great lengths to gladly seek
Out, someone who they perceived to exhibit signs of being weak
Could it be that such trait on people will certainly hover?
A remnant of that upbringing and an element of their culture
So this mindset in them become one that is inveterate
There this has relegated them to a state of being an invertebrate
A great percentage of those who lived in an abusive situation
Always tend to gravitate to climate where that is part of the dispensation
Somehow seems quite lost in an environment that has any difference
So to them the former would to them that path of least resistance
This behavior can be seen and impact negatively on their performance
Always looking on each occasion to get that voice of reassurance
Very drained when it come to that ability to show any confidence
Hence there is that willingness to cave in showing no defiance
What a great pity to see people so smart and laden with intelligence
At meeting sitting there muted like they are frozen into silence
No wanting to speak out so that the others there will know
So overwhelm that they let the situation smother that intellectual glow
It is too that some may stick in that region of hesitancy
Because they do not want to be labeled as being one who is cocky
But would rather sit back and observe someone of lesser ability
Be the one whose utterances get the approval of everybody
So parents listen to you offspring and act more proactively
Be futuristic in your training and observe those signs that show that of being bully
There you can steer them and prepare them for life and this in some way
Can make that difference in them become and not someone's prey
