The Lump of Clay
How can I ever say,
Of God being unfair;
I do not disobey,
For I know He does care.
The Lord is kind to all,
That He does want to be;
And will answer your call,
For helping you to see.
His choice does not depend,
On any desire;
Rather being a friend,
For grace to acquire.
A reason you are here,
To show power through you;
Since you truly revere,
And spread His name out through.
If God wants to be kind,
That is what He will be;
He can enter your mind,
To do as you will see.
Why does God still find fault,
Or resist what God needs;
When you always exalt,
Willing to do good deeds.
You would never talk back,
Or try to disobey;
The potter cannot lack,
In ways to mold His clay.
