My Knight In Shining Armor

Knights in shining armor
A young girl’s greatest wish
Is to be saved from life’s confinements
And showered with a kiss.

Like a princess in a tower
Held by some wicked entity
Desiring that some handsome prince
Would climb up to set her free.

 I’ve kissed a handsome prince or two…
Each a hero of some kind.
But neither one hung on a Cross
To save this soul of mine!

We can all select our stories…
Each have different tales to tell…
But my knight in shining armor
Rescued my sinning soul from Hell!

So, He is my greatest hero…
 My salvation and my king!
I love Him more than anyone,
Any place or anything!

He took on the Prince of Darkness…
Defeated him at Calvary…
The greatest battle ever fought
Brought total victory!

We have been liberated!
Rescue mission is complete!
Death and the grave are conquered!
Satan crushed beneath our feet!!

Who is your knight in shining armor?
Your greatest hero of all time?
If you’ve never thought about one…
I would love you to meet mine!

Dedicated to Kathryn

Hosea 13:14
I will ransom them from the power of the grave;
I will redeem them from death: O death,
I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction:
repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

1 Corinthians 15:55
O death, where is thy sting?
O grave, where is thy victory?

I
