Another Writer's Corner
Pen and pad in hand
Leaves upon my shins
No one knows I'm here
Leaves above say let's begin
I imagine a garden out there
Suffocated by blooms
The grass breathes in the fragrance
As butterflies play their tunes
Trees planted when I imagined friends
Now tall, offering shade a leafy green
Fairies dancing by the pond
And withered daisy chains unseen
The bees drink from aged bulbs
Now prisms of wondrous hue
And the footprints of those passed
Come clearly into view
I'm in a chair of another
But inspired by where it's at
And as I stretch my legs out
I'll just lean back and smile
Words now written, I'll just soak it up a while.
