LOVER

As so many worries in the world
Why is it you are at the heart of mine
Our meet somehow destined
But not properly executed
Made for an inhabitable union from the start
Momentary bouts of bliss
Followed by droughts of disconnection
As I longed for the scent of you
The bass of your heart beat
Driving me to the ends of my ecstasy
Not enough to render you selfishly mine
Just enough for you to linger awhile.
