SEASONS AND TIMES

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

In all our lives - there are Seasons and Times 
Some memorable - some we choose to forget .
Some - like lead - sit heavily in our hearts .
While some touch like feathers - softly - fleeting -
Whispers of a moment savoured - cherished - gone -
Others come and go - like perfume wafting on the breeze
Like the fragrant smell - of honeysuckle in the evening air 
Or wood fires - Sunday roasts - roses .
Moments of inner peace -and calm -
Like twilight sunbeams kissing our cheeks .
Soft music - invading our senses -
Or blackbirds and robins singing their praises to God
Melodies that touch the heart-strings -
And bring a tear to our eyes .
Laughter - happiness of loved ones - nostalgia - calm.
Or maybe just the feel of sand or grass between our toes .
Or the touch of a loved one's hand .
The list goes on .
Perhaps now - my mind is wandering .
Maybe these are just fanciful dreams - or longings -
Life and reality may not be so sweet -
With its' rush and tear - push and pull -
Too cold - too hot - to wet - too dry - too hungry 
Too poor - too weak - too afraid - too fat - too thin 
The endless ' Too's ' can go on and on -
But STOP !
These experiences - thoughts or cares -
Do not have to consume us - or control us .
They too will pass - as each season does -
 Replaced with - the next  Blessing - goodness
Kind word - fulfillment - friendship - Action - hope.
And especially - if each moment  is under the loving hand 
Of our compassionate Heavenly FATHER -
In whose tender mercy and grace - we dwell -
Secure - content - and at peace .
Whatever the next season brings -
We will trust HIM - to bring about the best for us .
AMEN.
