Those Rules
There was one moment on having a discussion with so adolescent
Sometimes at this stage in their live can be so adamant
They were saying that at this stage of their lives felt like fools
Because they have to subject themselves to those parental rules
They are now growing and should be blessed with that ability
To be accorded that latitude to come and go at liberty
Not now having to be subjected to any type of curfew
Since they have come of age that control should be through
My response was that that you would now feel some pain
Because you are now growing and feel the limit of this restrain
Imagine the state there will be in the wider society
If there was not that measure of care and control domestically
Let us imagine living in a country where there were no laws
Would not thing that there will be situation of pure chaos
Therefore those living there will have the misfortune to see
Those negative impacts resulting from what will be anarchy
In my experience I too was annoyed by my parents' implemented rules
Now today I understand and see them as some very important life's tools
Because In one's life there has to be instilled some form of discipline
Over time this will prove to be a very important ingredient for living
Understand that as a parent that responsibility of love and dedication
Is also blended with their focus of care and also attention
So those rules are there to give you a form of a structure
The intent is for you to see that there are to make you life better
Have you ever take a look at friends whose home life had no rules
Who were all about and were left to do as they choose
Yes some of them went astray, but the one who were able to that style repair
Happened after someone came along and reach them and they changed gear
