THEY STOOD
HIGH ABOVE
NEW YORK
THE CITYS
TWIN TOWERS
THAT WERE
MAN MADE
GREAT MINDS
BUILT THEM
TWO TOWERS
TORN DOWN
ONE DAY
MAD MEN
WHO FLEW
TWO PLANES
INTO THEM
TOOK AWAY
TWO ICONS
THE SKY
RAINS TEARS
WHERE STOOD
TWO GIANTS.
[This is a 'Shape' poem also known as 'Concrete' poetry which I didn't know at the time that I wrote it - how ironic that I chose The Twin Towers! written May 29th 2004]
