An Unopened Book

Questions That I Ask

Lately I've been thinking ,
a little more then I should.
About if I died today,
did I do the world any good.
Did I make a difference,
in my childrens life.
Was I a good enough husband,
to my darling wife.
Did  I walk straight,
or wonder a curved path.
These are the questions  that I ask.

Did I choose wrong,
more then I did right.
Did I bring more joy,
in someone elses life.
Did I offer forgiveness,
whenever I could.
Did people see me,
or did I hide behind a mask.
These are the questions that I ask.

Do I have more enemies,
then I have  friends.
Did I do my best,
to try to make amends.
Am I  someone people remember,
or will I fade like a photograph.
These are the questions that I ask.
