I Walk With God

           I walk with God          September 16, 2012

I'm lying here with lots of fear; I know my end is near
They never told me why they brought me hear
Being Irish is their problem, loving my country dear
They tell me I'll die tomorrow; I can imagine their final cheer
I'll be in heaven when that happens beside my hero's dear
When I walk with God in peace, I know I'll have no fear
My Lord will understand the troubles and the game
My names not O' Hanlon my views are the very same
My life as it passes; it cannot be bargained and sold
My Irish live will not be compromised by another mans foreign gold
I go tomorrow or sometime soon, I'll have justice in the sky
I have no fear; I love Ireland dear, and say my last goodbye
I ask my country and my nation, I still ask Ireland why?
As I pass from my life, did my people care?
I'm lying here with lots of fear; I know my end is near
They never told me why they brought me hear
