 ~REFLECTING MOMENTS~

Remember me...

I lie vulnerable
truly a rare moment

I leave my body
suspended and translucent
peering a hollow self

If just for dreams
may I be granted peace

Upon my scarred back
with arms stretched wide
welcoming someone
to save me...

I tire of false hope
and the consequence
of disbelief

My breasts swell
with milk and honey
and he will come and drink

May he suckle my intention

Quiet and detached
from the world around me
I fall backward and bring you
forward...

Images of temptation
the thought of his hands
his slow arresting touch

I am a woman
without-

I suffer you
and fall somewhere hungry

Can you know this thirst
I lick the lips you knew
to soothe and reminisce

I've attached myself ...to your memory
to sustain my life
I live inside you

and bleed when you do...
