What an interesting situation that can be found in the world of politics
One moment a person is supporting something the next against it
Perhaps not because of conviction but it is the one that is popular
And even the electorate to such a behavior seems to surrender
There is no denying that those very wealthy and influential financial backer
Without their deep pockets campaigns will be reduced to tatters
Some of them too wanting to look like a good corporate citizen
Would throw some aid in the coffers of those participating
Vulnerable, the populace comes to have such very high expectation
Of the eventual winner and that there will be some instant action
Not realizing that some may take time or never come to fruition
This will be later blamed on the constant objection by the opposition
The electorate should be aware that by the successful passing of bills
May not necessarily be any type of alleviation from their ills
But should remember that anything perceived as being given
Something else may be subtly taken to bring some balance to the equation
Take a look at this country now caught up in the arms of a campaign
One is trying to level the field giving a man an opportunity to attain
Whilst the other is trying to reincarnate a system of stratification
As the supporters try to imply that the other benignly bordering on that hated socialism
This is usually an opportune time for those of the electorate
To think deep and of course look at the substance in the debate
Weigh those pros and cons as well as the pain of the recession
