THE PRODIGAL'S RETURN ( part 2 ) """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" ( As the prodigal heads for home - the father is waiting ) THE FATHER ' Could this be - or are my old eyes - weary from watching - deceiving me ? Has he come ? Has all my waiting - searching - weeping - been in vain ? It is ! - though his figure may be stooped - I'll always know my son - his frame . Yes - dear GOD - You heard this old man's cry - and bought my lost son home. Quick - steward run - get the table set - the choicest wine - the fatted calf All that it takes for the greatest feast - music - strike up the band - For a joyous homecoming - don't spare the cost - party hats - the lot ! My son has come home - though he were dead - he walks - yet with a limp But he is here - where he belongs - in his domain - Oh thank You God - You've given me the strength to run - To hold him my arms - and tell him - ' It is well ' Yes - All is well . ( The son - as his father reaches him ) ' Father - forgive me - forgive me - I'm...........( weeping ) I'm not fit to be called your son .' ( the father's response ....) 'Welcome - my child - No ...no ...no reproach - not now . Now is the time for celebration - jubilation - joy . Come - bring the finest robe - the shoes - the ring - All have been here - waiting for your return . For you to take your rightful place - to put them on . This is no time for past regrets - remorse - or blame Now is the time for rejoicing - singing - To love - and dance - and laugh again - Yes - now my heart can truly laugh again . Sit here my son - back in the heart of all who love you - Yes - I know - I hear - but even your brother will come round - Just give him time - this jealousy will pass - if he is wise . Resentment bears a heavy weight on the heart and soul . But he is wise - and one day he too will know - He will yet realise - how I have loved him - given him my all - Valued and cherished him for his loyalty - dependability - For always being here - with me - Just give him time . But - for now - MY Lost Beloved Son - WELCOME HOME ! How could you ever have forgotten - that unlike a slave YOU OWNED THE WHOLE FARM - ALL THE TIME ! """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" I HOPE YOU HAVE ENJOYED MY RENDERING OF THE PRODIGAL SON . OF COURSE IT IS A PARABLE DEPICTING OUR HEAVENLY FATHER'S LOVE FOR ALL WHO HAVE TURNED AWAY FROM HIM ..BUT WHO ARE WISE AND TURN BACK TO HIM ... READ .... LUKE CH 15 VERSES 11-31.
