A Better Place
Hunger for this place divine
As read inside the book of time
Not just a book but of the one
Whose word speaks truth above bar none
Inside verses will pour as rain
From Heavens sky to deserts plain
On earth as one would make it so
One whose love mans line has towed
A love story today unmatched
Scored by the hands that too would catch
One falling again this day
One needing of Life to save
A better place not brief in content
A state of being with souls intent
To end what ails that rides again
Inside the vast that break not bend
What if the world listened closer?
Instead of racing to be posers
The Light of lights could shine on them
To guide their ways on Him depend
What if we prayed and gave all thanks
To Him who paid, the world romanced
Before His leave to be as Him
To know this place, freed from death and sin
This place called home, no not alone
Of mansions grand of glories stones
Built to house those HE so loves
You since day of birth thought of
A better place no doubt awaits
Those who come before too late
Becomes what is your place of loss
The price our souls, too great the cost
A better place, a better you
