The soul has much to say

Whatever is you...(Redux)

Clouds
growing
darker

Fists
of
irrelevance

pounding
against
her psyche

She cries
without
tears

Standing
tall
against

the wind
of his
brutality

Closing
my
eyes

Seeing
what
she feels

His rage
be
a flame

My compassion
be
an inferno

Trembling
shivering
refusing

to bend
to his
carnage

Her soul
mirrors
my own

Soft
tender
inquiry

Do my
bruises
offend you?

descends
from
her lips

Am I
still
beautiful?

falls
from
her eyes

The cloak
of
love

I drape
across
her shoulders

Soft
kisses
to remove

the sting
of
her wounds

Picking
her
up

in
my
arms

Relief
from hell
on earth

Putting
her
that much

closer
to
Heaven

My words
seal
our fate

Your hurt
is now
my own

Your
heartache
has found

a home
in
me

Whatever
makes you
cry

Whatever
makes you
humble

Whatever
brings
a smile

to
your
face

Whatever
is
you

is
me
too
