Before you called
As child of one you knew as father
Of husband to your loving mother
You‘d witnessed things no not of mine
But of the world in your lifetime
Abuse took toll upon life
Before your eyes on mom his wife
Hurt exposed impacted yours
Yours sadly for years endured
Countless tears filled your heart
Before you came to know the part
That made you who you are this day
Through silence yours I heard you pray
Pray that things would soon change
Of life escape through drink and shame
Yet here upon your circumstance
I saw the child I'd soon romance
Provide I would a husband yours
Through him hard times you both endured
Love seem to fall away again
But this daughter I too knew when
Know this well for plans I had
To heal marriage and still plans have
To keep you now where you belong
Along side him both I'll make strong
My bond with you and him will grow
Believe these things for I made so
A new beginning to all ends
My will for both with love extend
Hold me close as I shall mend
These things once yours now mine I tend
To Jessie and Wilson, LOVE keeps what no man can break, God bless
