but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Some friends of mine have a decorative stone in their front room carved with the words ‘Expect Miracles’.
We can hope to do well at work or at home.
Or,
We can expect to do well because it is no longer us working but Christ doing the work through us.
Expect miracles.
Expect them.
This is removed from hoping that we can do things to the best of our limited abilities.
It is knowing that perfection works through us.  There is no limitation in perfection.
..but those who hope in the Lord..’
It does not say hope that this will happen or hope that that will not happen – it says hope in the Lord.
Don’t merely expect negative things to happen.
Don’t merely expect positive things to happen.
Expect miracles.
In other words, Expect God.
Don’t hope for things.
Put your hope in God.
