It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.
Galatians 2:20

In the UK, there used to be a programme about famous people called This Is Your Life.  You may have had it in your country too.

Can you imagine if a television presenter walked up to someone and said ‘This Is Your Life!’, and the person replied ‘Well, actually, This is His life’.

What if we had the freedom of knowing that ‘it is no longer I who live , but Christ who lives in me’.

-That we are here every day of this year for God to work through us for His glory.

-That we have concerns and anticipations but that God knows all those things and wants to work through us in those things.

-That He has the solutions for all things in our life and all we have to do is yield to Him (easier said than done maybe, but His word enables it).

-That we do not need to worry about our performance and achievements – that instead, because our life is His life, we hand it over to Him to perform through us.

-That if and when we have any problems, it is up to Him to deal with them either for us or through us.

-That if we get something wrong this year that we simply give it to Him knowing: - He is in control, that He anticipated the mistake before it happened and that He has the thing that will have that mistake work for your good and His glory.

This is His life.  We are not to be celebrated during this life, but He is.  That thought can either bring much disappointment or joy and freedom.

We were created for Him, not for ourselves, and He has plans for us that He has the ability to attain, working through us.

May we joyfully give our lives to the One who created us.

Lord Jesus - This is Your Life.
