14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!
Romans 6:14-15
You know... this Book is not about rules and regulations and teaching.
There are a lot of rules and regulations and teaching, but that is not what this Book is about.
If that was what this book was about, we would aim to meet the rules and regulations so that we could live with God here and then in eternity.
This book is not about rules. It is about relationship.
It is about a perfect relationship between God and man that was smashed in Eden. It is about the work that went into action immediately to get that relationship back. It charts the history of how God made what would appear impossible, possible - He who is Perfect to live in perfect relationship with those (us) who have become defiled because of what happened in Eden.
It's not a guide book about how to be a good person or how to have good morals.
No... that is not what this Book is about.
God loves us. That's what this Book is about.
It's not about having good behaviour. It's about having God.
Look what He has done for us to get us back in full relationship with Him. The cost.
This book is not a measuring stick for us to measure our own goodness. Our goodness will never be good enough.
It is a book about relationship. It is a book about Love. His for us.
