(----The Happiest Tale Made Saddest®

A story loses rhythm in time
when taken away is the perfect reason and rhyme....

2 pups Andre and Gracie
one so tall and mighty like a giant,
the other more of a tinymite.
Andre was a golden retriever
and Gracie a little chihuahua.
Both with such wide eyed wonderment.
He held her in the palm of his handy paw
and she felt safe and warm.
The color of his soft skin
matched his heart thru and thru.
They played inside like
there was no tomorrow.
And when they went out
he always stuck nearby.
They liked to play music
and would often get frisky and dance.
They lived in a world all their own
and depended on each other for everything.
Andre was so good at fetching food
and even treats he found along the way.
When something was broken no worries.
Andre would dig up his magic bag and it was fixed.
Gracie would bark at him so happily every time.
One day Andre went out and didn't come back
for the longest time.
Gracie just sat at the window watching for him.
Days turned into months then into years
and still no Andre.
There she still sits at that window
whimpering in fear and heartbreak.
Every sound she hears she wants to go running
to see if he's returned but she hasn't the strength to
the tinymite is no more.
But she was blessed to have those times with Andre.
And as she tries to live up to her name
she dreams that as with others they too will go to Heaven.
They'll meet up with a guardian named Faith
that will show them were they can be free to run and play
and there will indeed be no tomorrow!
