Code Of Christian Ethics
Lord, I realize perfection
Is a state we’ve yet to reach
But there’s a code of Christian ethics
That none of us should breach.
Within Your Body there are those
Who do not seem wise at all…
They ever so discreetly make
Some Body Parts feel small.
You've called us all to do a work
Each of us have goals to meet.
Please help us put our differences
And disagreements at Your feet.
Words like loyalty and love
Are taken much too light.
Seems a brother or a sister
In-the-Lord would know what’s right.
If we are held accountable…
If we are our brother’s keeper
Then integrity should be applied
Before actions travel deeper
Sticks and stones may break some bones
But words can really hurt.
We should always be above reproach
Never rude, unfair, or curt.
Father God, please help us to forgive
Any and all our skeptics.
Remind us always of Your Word
By a code of Christian ethics.

Matthew 7:12
"In everything, therefore, treat people
the same way you want them to treat you,
for this is the Law and the Prophets
Ephesians 4: 15-16
Instead, speaking the truth in love,
we will in all things grow up into him
who is the Head, that is, Christ.
From him the whole body,
joined and held together by every
supporting ligament, grows and builds
itself up in love, as each part does its work
