Of Knight and Fairy
He bares the wounds of battle grounds
Upon his heart alone now bound
To yesterdays, of once before
Of friends he loved that war would gore
His love of life too small to hold
Caress her face if story told
But loved no less her he would leave
What he himself failed to believe
That he could love but not have one
Of her kind, whose heart he'd won
Fairy, Princess, whose smile would bring
A heart skipped beat above of all things
With hair of silk and honey scent
Of her but dreams today are dreamt
Her heart of gold would tend his wounds
Leaving but peace before the moon
Gave way to Sun and too this day
Alone becomes of him these days
Refuge in tree he carved now home
Condones all things he owns and sown
Upon his mind and ears where flutter
Is heard these days of one no other
Sleep now keeps and draws his end
Nearer to her where he shall spend
Holding to of her that's left
Of pixie dust and tears his wept
