 Autumn
OCTOBER'S CHILD

Autumn sprinkled emotions in redolent grace
Down life's pathway between time and space
On hills of velvet green, falling into place
Where wind songs echo and leaves play chase...

----------------------

A horseless carriage traverses a shallow creek
Where waves of memories flirt in hide and seek
A thousand thoughts unravel, no one dares to speak
Of the fading summer, so sallow and bleak...

----------------------

Autumn reigns majestic as summer crawls away
Cool soothing breezes dance through the day
Enveloping all in a riotous transitional display
Of variegated hues in the trees as they sway....
