Rejoice in the Lord
This is a holy day,
That our Lord has made;
So be glad in His way,
No need to be afraid.
Try not to mourn or cry,
Remember what He taught;
There is no sad good bye,
Never to be distraught.
Go eat drink and rich food,
Give to those who cannot;
Provide to who are rude,
Food that is good and hot.
This is a holy day,
For the Lord our God;
Walking on His pathway,
As you honor and laud.
Never try to be sad,
Because of joy in you;
Gives you strength to be glad,
Joyful thoughts to construe.
You have much thankfulness,
With so much food to eat;
A prospered blessedness,
And shoes to fit your feet.
Today is a holy day,
Not a time to be sad;
Time for the righteous way,
As a time to be glad.
