What God Did for Us
Keep in mind be in subjection,
To the rulers of authority;
Obedient without rejection,
As picked by the majority.
Be ready for all kinds of good,
As believers you should obey;
And ready to help as you should,
Never cursing about their way.
Speak no evil of anyone,
Rather to be gentle and meek;
Never avoiding or to shun,
Those that are feeble and weak.
We were once stupid and misled,
Slaves to earthly lust and pleasure;
A bad attitude we were fed,
And nourished by earthly treasure.
We were mean hating each other,
Slaves to sin very envious;
As we had shun our brother,
Because we were really jealous.
But when God made kindness appear,
Letting love from Heaven to flow;
Showing the true meaning of fear,
That all of us should always know.
And we were saved by Jesus Christ,
But not because what we had done;
Rather for being sacrificed,
That the Father allowed the Son.
