 once upon a time

johnmcguckin78gmailcomheathergibsonjohnnyduncangeishashadowsontheheart

Please, outstretched hand pleads.
Can you spare a copper, please?
don’t ignore me, I’m here because
I’ve no where else to go, please.

Okay, thanks anyway, guess you got
your own problems, but please don’t
forget me, you, anyone can end here
so please always try and do right.

Seems a strange way to end, with hand
outstretched. Asking, buddy please help
got nowhere else I can go  streets are cold
even in summer, please, no, okay thanks anyway.

Lot of cold feeling people around nowadays
Tired of saying please, just write it on a board
tie it around my neck, either that or hang myself.
Won’t do that, just keep on asking, please help.
