LOVE

Love where does it start, with a glance,
who can say, not I, people say I love you
take it all with a pinch of salt, might want
the salt later when love fails.

What happens when we awaken do you think
okay I love you, and, then what,  get up brush
your teeth shout cheerio as you hurry out the door
Ah well it was one night of love, I think.

Anyway have that pinch of salt, rub it across
my lips and think, glad that love is gone, it’s
to much keeping on saying I love you, doe’s
it matter. Just wanted company for the night.

walk down the street, greet the day, always
love is around the next corner. Wait until twilight
watch for that glance, and there you have it, love
waiting patiently for you to say, hi I love you.
