The Right Way
On that day you will hear a song,
Trumpets blowing both loud and strong;
As we look and see the city,
Floating down so nice and pretty.
Its walls and fortification,
Makes a safe and strong foundation;
How firm with the strong gates of steel,
Open them for all to reveal.
Let the righteous people go in.
All the faithful having no sin,
Those with perfect love in their heart,
With the Word of God to impart.
People that we know we can trust,
And not filled up with any lust;
Those who are both gentle and kind,
Always having peace on their mind.
Most of all and never ignored,
Always having trust in the Lord;
He is the everlasting rock,
The God who listens as you talk.
He has brought down the ones who live,
Since God was able to forgive;
Those things that happened in the past,
Their confession allowed them to cast.
On that day a song will be sung,
When all of your sins can be flung;
And be able to enter through,
Seeing yourself as a new you.
