Paint me a landscape fields of green
horses grazing by a tranquil stream,
blend into the picture trees of old
clouds over blue with horizon of gold.
Sketch me a portrait an ageless face
captured forever in one time and space,
shadow the lines show emotion is still
the pain or happiness only eyes reveal.
Carve me a statue make smooth as can be
a figure of stone to last an eternity,
so pondering forever this unknown cast
outliving the years of future and past.
Write me a story short poem in rhyme
write from the heart unroll like twine,
book for a journey to read while in bed
each stanza remembered or sentence read.
