Those Iguanas
What a wonderful sight that morning there to greet us
It was to see the green pasture dotted with iguanas
What a variety of reptiles crawling across the lush green
It prompted many cameras to take a picture of such a scene
There was one who seem to stand out from those in the pack
It was larges and had spike like projection running the length of its back
Striking up poses like if this seems to be an area of such familiarity
Perhaps having that feeling as if it was the one they came to see
How it moved around stepping proudly for catching the attention
This apparently sent the others around into some form of oblivion
Because there was a specie; there that was difficult to be seen
Because they were camouflaged among the surrounding green
But it was always the spiked one who presence was one of dominance
I t seems as though the other just moved aside in majestic reverence
In some areas of the body one could detect a type of hue
It reflected a color that was closest to that of blue
But there they were crawling slowly enjoying the morning sun
Picking at grass having a feet and too the birds seem to come around
As they pluck the grass getting that nourishment which the body need
The disturbed insect are then gobbled up by the birds with such greed
But don't be fooled by that slow seemingly lethargic movement
Because they can change gear and this can happen any moment
At the first sign of danger they body lifts and they can very quickly
Rush up to the top of and quickly hide among the leaves of the nearest tree
There once this look of surprise on a group of people faces one day
As they stopped to rest under a tree whose shade beckon in some way
But after a while they had to run quickly from this comfortable position
As they later got a very good dispensation of iguanas' feces and urination.
