STUMBLE

I’m walking down the road and what
do I stumble upon, something, that has
always been before my eyes, the river.

I had always noticed the litter lying on its
banks, but only today did I say, lets look
down into the waters as they flow serenely
to the sea, I had stumbled upon a treasure.

I found it in the simply pleasure of noticing
the river. I ignore the litter, watch the ripples
created by the fish catching flies. I wander on
wondering, what else I might stumble upon.
