Eloquent, Yet Humble
To you O Lord I lift my soul,
Allowing You to keep control;
Because I trust you O my God,
The true One I honor and laud.
Do not let me be put to shame,
For it is You that I proclaim;
Let not my foes claim victory,
Trying to triumph over me.
Please make Your ways known unto me,
Giving insight so I can see;
Teaching direction of Your path,
So I am avoiding Your wrath.
Lead me in Your truth for to teach,
With wisdom so I can go preach;
To everyone the Good News,
Who only know the worldly views.
Remember Your merciful deeds,
Have been filling all of my needs;
That exists from eternity,
Saving me from anxiety.
Forget about my rebellious way,
That was making me go astray;
Rather remember the good done,
And just what has made me as one.
Good and upright is our Lord,
To whom we are of one accord;
So let me instruct the sinners,
As to be spiritual winners.
