( part 1 )  EVERYTHING - OR NOTHING .


Orpah went back to her gods - Maybe not in so many words 
But she would not go on with Naomi .
So - in essense - she did go back to her gods .
Maybe it was her family ties that held her so strongly .
Maybe she had friends - who didn't want to let her go 
Maybe it was her culture - lifestyle - food .
But whatever it was - she went back to it .
And she missed GOD's best .

She missed GOD - period .
She would never know all the happiness -
That GOD has prepared for those who love HIM .
She missed - Everything .

Maybe for a while - she was happy  and content 
Maybe for a while she was at peace with her lot .
Maybe she didn't care either way .
She was where she wanted to be - in her comfort zone .
But - we will never know - Because -
Orpah - Went Back .

So - We will move on as well.

With  RUTH


Ruth wanted to go with Naomi -
Ruth begged to go with Naomi .
She made vows to Naomi -
And Naomi capitulated. ( she said - Okay )
Ruth said goodbye to Moab - the home of her birth.
Ruth turned her back - on the cruel god Chemosh .
Ruth turned - from all that was in her past .
She embraced - Naomi 
She embraced Naomi's GOD - and her people .
She - Refused to - Go Back .

And Naomi said - YES - to Ruth .
Yes - you can come back - with me - 
I expect that was the best - yes - Naomi had ever said
Maybe she gave up the fight - resigned herself to her lot.
She was a sad - dejected woman - with no husband
No sons - only - her daughter -in law - Ruth .

But - What a blessing - in disguise . !
Perhaps - she couldn't see it yet . 
But - One day she would .
She really would .

I am sure that deep inside - Naomi was really glad 
Even though she was concerned for Ruth .
And I am doubly sure - that GOD - was glad.
And pleased - with the decision Ruth had made .
HE had Ruth in HIS heart - and HIS plans.
And - even if she didn't know it yet 
She would be a very special part of His plans .
And so - she went on - with Naomi.
Forward - with Naomi - and - Naomi's GOD .
The GOD - Who - All the time -
Loved - Naomi.
And Ruth.
