Walkin on Air

The Great Escape

“Did you really expect us to allow,
and that without regard for fellow man,
such roughhouse here in our local hoosegow?
Who did you think you were, maybe Tarzan?

Swinging from cellblock
to cellblock
using our fine linen sheets,
trying to escape?

What were you thinking a guy of your weight,
did you truly expect the strands to hold?
Behold the man who lies dead in the sand:
did you really expect us to allow?"
