Last week I wrote an email at home
To keep my shift focus on work alone
Sent it to the head supervisor Friday
Desiring six hours every Wednesday
My note said I was ready to start balancing
Not regular shift day would help in learning
Then eventually learn Puerto Rico in the future
But God had a much better plan in mind for sure
I had expressed my goals and reasons why
But two days went by without any reply
God gave me a glimpse of her schedule
As a reminder He had it all under control
Monday I overheard head supervisor say
Working evening shift next three days
Then following week gone on vacation
Her b-day card we signed as secret action
Today at work God opened up training
Temp I watched gave clear explaining
Later I got actual hands on experience
Working next to her made a difference
Bank in Puerto Rico rumors abound
Some choose to avoid it I have found
Concepts so different from other banks
Strikes up caution with people I think
One advantage is a loose leaf binder of notes
Sample screens help plus comments I wrote
Some pages I bookmarked with a little sticky
For easier reference I can look it up in a jiffy
I checked my email at the end of my shift
God's timing so evident it gave me an uplift
Another supervisor sent a notice for help today
Stating Puerto Rico had to be done by end of day
Head supervisor was now there but in a meeting
So I told the lady who sent it about my training
I asked if I could stay and she gave me permission
Next hour I was catching on with fewer questions
Even though increasing my hours remains pending
Potential opportunities exist with this new training
Other temps for that bank have worked on Saturday
Their regular shift ends later in the evening each day
