Like a lamb led to the slaughter…
Like a moth drawn to the flame…
Some will surely be the victims
Of those who play religious games.
Pretense has long been practiced…
Phonies well versed in The Book…
Plan seduction with the Scriptures
For those who leap before they look.
With diplomas in deception
The Golden Rule does not apply…
They build fences of false teaching
To enclose folks in a lie.
Who can understand the reasons?
Why use Jesus as the bait?
Or the Bible as a backer
To mar and manipulate?
Don’t they know the consequences?
Are their consciences so seared
That they disregard what’s holy…
Don’t expect God to be feared?
God is love and He’s forgiving
But He is never to be mocked…
Those who play this game will answer
When their earthly ship has docked.
When one claims to be a Christian
Certain standards must be met.
Those who sow seeds of dishonor
Are surely ripe to reap regret.
There will come a day of judgment
A day of wrath or of reward
Are we ready for that moment
When we stand before the Lord?
Satan is such a deceiver
Evil schemes bring him delight.
Father, please grant us discernment
Of Angels who appear as Light.
